Gizmodo author proudly abuses flexible fares

A Gizmodo contributor reports at http://gizmodo.com/5903687/how-i-got...airport-lounge that they
  • Found a flight that's F1 C0 Y0,
  • Bought the sole remaining first-class ticket,
  • Hung out in the LH F lounge at FRA,
  • Volunteered to give up their seat on the oversold flight in exchange for $600 and an F seat on the next flight, and
  • Refunded their ticket

This feels a wee bit fraudulent and I'm surprised that someone who manages LH revenue protection hasn't suspended this person's M&M account or at least cancelled the $600 airline credit they were given.
