Does anyone know why this happened to me?

I was flying long haul in econ with my wife and 3yo. Was upgraded to PE on boarding but wanted to stay with the family. Shortly after take off the purser came up to me, ipad in hand, and said 'Dr xxxx? My name is xxxx. I wanted to welcome you onboard. If there's anything I can do please let me know.' I didn't notice him doing the same to anyone else.

I assume it's because of my BAEC status? Or do you think I have a significant CIV score for him to come and say hello?
