Also, OP, if you do not get a satisfactory response/compensation from DL, I suggest wielding the power of social media (squeaky wheels get greased, DL doesn't like negative reports in social media, post on their Facebook as well as yours and tweet about it, etc) as well as complaining to DOT (DL is required to report IDBs but all airlines sometimes fail to do so).
Were you able to do your job interview by videoconference instead, or reschedule it?
