The Candlewood on 39th St (in the Tri-Pack) that KathyWdrf mentioned has 6 rooms per floor. While it would seem that every room would have to be right next to the elevators, that is not how the hotel is laid out. The center of the floor is occupied by two separate stairways. The elevators are at one end of the floor, so only two of the six rooms are right next to the elevators.

The Staybridge has a similar layout, but it's been over a year since I last stayed in it, so I don't really remember it that well.
