I'm going to hijack this thread to solicit further recommendations that meet the following criteria:

1. Physical keyboard for texting and data entry.

2. Capable of being on an AT&T voice/text-only plan without data. I cannot switch carriers due to others on the same plan. AT&T won't let me use a full-featured smartphone without charging me for data service, even if I never use data.

3. Some sort of spreadsheet app that lets me track expenses and mileage on the go. And a means for getting the file off the phone (USB or SD card).
