There will be zero chance of the gate agent even if asked nicely of moving the OP's GF to CW and the 2 of them sitting together unless there is a genuine operational reason for doing so i.e an oversold cabin and a direct WT to CW upgrade would be rare I think.

OP, if you want to swap seats and you should be able too, get it sorted if you can before you board the flight.
