If not for public protest and outrage, do you think anyone outside of Sanford, FL would recognize the name Trayvon Martin? Because of lost evidence neither his nor Zimmerman's actions can ever be investigated properly, but best case, public outrage will not only reform a small PD that's been rotten for years, but tune up a whole state's SYG law to better do what it's supposed to do.
Now that we have the public's attention regarding policy/abuse at the CP, maybe it's time to light some matches to the straw man used to justify it? (It's unnecessary to convince the whole population; up to 60% will just be dead weight following whatever happens. Changes are always led by an interested, active minority faction.) The adrenaline high of 9/11 is wearing off. The economy isn't invisibly taken for granted anymore; people are tiring of "world will never be the same" and hungry for "back to normal." The huge expenses of the fascist expansion open a vulnerability that was absent 5-6 years ago. How best to exploit it?
Nothing will be done about it unless people demand change--by the time they figure out people are assembling in front of their doors to protest, they will scheme some new 'unifying factor' for people to give up their rights even more and then were back to square one.
