I recently bought a Delta ticket with my Chase Ultimate Rewards points. It shows up in my itineraries like any other paid flight, including the fare class (U), so I assume I'll get MQMs for it.
I would ask about whether your ticket will earn miles. I would have said yes, but there have been reports recently of SkyBonus free tickets being booked into U class inventory IIRC and then not earning miles.
