I've recently accrued a bunch of AMEX points and I was wondering about that crediting of points back.

So If I use 100,000 points for a $1000 ticket they only take 80,000 points?

How about if I have 100,000 points and want a $1200 ticket - same deal, or do they take 100,000 points for the $1200 ticket?
