I always get the little mini-suite, (and I know I am not on the same floor each time!) so am not certain if it is an upgrade or not.
The amenity list is somewhat above average, although I never understand why properties who offer dessert type items do not offer coffee as a beverage...but that is incredibly picky, I know.
A nice touch is that they will let you "redeem" your Diamond breakfast in the restaurant OR as room service - which I think is a generous option.
Unfortunately, room service for dinner was a disaster. I actually took the lid off, looked at it.... And called them to come pick it up. (I have NEVER done that before). Almost every part of the order was wrong - and what wasn't wrong was completely unappetizingly served. ( a baked potato overwrapped in plastic...so that all the steam puddles to the bottom and the potato is sitting in water - really???). Anyone who expects fine dining from room service is asking for disappointment..but it should not be beyond a kitchen's ability to serve a sandwich and baked potato that is actually edible...and remember to include silverware!
I don't know why this hotel struggles on the most basic aspects of service...honestly, there is a Hampton Inn not too far away that provides a more quality experience.
Still Disappointing.
