I read that the lounge has a "child policy". Is this actually enforced or is it more of a signage due to service of alcohol? (My children are well behaved and we usually just want a pre-dinner drink). While we would want to enjoy the lounge (not a good move to leave the wife and children in the room while I enjoy the lounge), I do not want to be in a situation where I am causing embarassment. I did ask by email if there was an alternative (e.g. they could bring a bottle of wine or allow mini bar credit) but there was no suggestion of what they would do, even if you paid the Exec rate.
What is the typical upgrade for a Diamond, we have a connecting room booked as a standard, and the hotel said it is next category, but is it likely to be more of a bump upwards?
Thanks!
