We treat those with 50,000 differently than those with 25,000 so why not .......

My plan would allow the 175,000 - call it Double Diamond (DD) or whatever - flyers to elect to have the DD status or they could elect to remain DM and allow more MQMs to roll over.

Perks for DD would be very similar to DM. The obvious difference would be that the DD passengers clear first.
Why are you trying to create problems.
If you're a high maintenance guy, act accordingly.
