Thanks so much, sdsearch!

For me, keeping Sapphire Preferred would be worth it as I can derive more value from UR points. I don't spend a lot on hotels in personal travel and I like the fact that Sapphire Preferred card's travel category covers priceline spend (i.e., the earning is 2 points/$, I think each point is worth at least 1.5 to 2 cents for me). I have 3 hotel cards (amex SPG, Chase PC, amex HH), and having the Sapphire Preferred card (and continue on with such earning on travel/dining) expands my options to Hyatt. I already have plenty of UA miles (and I'm elite on UA), but if I don't have a good way of spending UR points on Hyatt then I could transfer to UA to redeem for international air travel (gift to my relatives).

I have 2 more annual fee cards: (1) UA Select card ($95/yr, its no longer offered) for its ability to earn up to 5k EQM from air travel booked directly at ua.com and an annual bonus of 5K RDM (to offset annual fee); (2) CO Presidential Plus card ($395/yr) but it contains full membership to the CO/UA airline club. I will keep the Presidential Plus card for another year but may eventually cancel if/when my air travel slows down. This and the SPG card might be the ones I'd cut out if I need save money on annual fees but I would continue to stick with Sapphire Preferred for very long term due to its earning power (travel/dining categories and when combined with Freedom card) and flexibility in transfer to airline/hotel programs.

[edit to add] I forgot my AA Visa - I'm keeping it for another year since citi agrees to credit the annual fee if I make 5 purchases in next 3 months.
