TPAC: A couple glasses of scotch with an OTC sleeping aid taken with appetizer= decent sleep for me. Even with adjusting sleep schedule a day or two before hand, the noon-time departures of these flights require some sleep assistance.

TATL: Late evening departures and shorter flight times, just a couple of glasses of wine does the trick.

I do tend to drink a lot of water as well. I agree this is a "trick" to assist with dehydration, etc. caused by flying.
