Right, but I already have 3 AmEx cards that I like and don't want to close. I'm not sure AmEx will give you unlimited numbers of cards (even if I wanted another one, which I don't).

Plus A LOT of Delta's HVCs are flying on corporate accounts that either require travel to be direct billed or purchased through a corporate card.

So the "hybrid" approach tells someone spending $25k per year to fly ~95 MQSs and 65k MQMs (100% Delta) that I am worth less than someone spending less than half that if they use a Delta AmEx and fly longer routes.

Delta doesn't need a revenue-based model, they need to get rid of non-BIS MQMs and cap rollover MQMs.
