Hi gang.

My and my wife-to-be are traveling to NYC in May to pick-up the wedding dress we ordered back in January.

We plan on transporting it as a carry on with us and for the record, the dress is far from bulky or long. We fly JFK-FRA-SOF, the JFK-FRA leg on May 28th is served by the mighty A388 where they have F and closets. Flying late May the closets should be almost empty of jackets/coats and I don't think there'll be a problem to hang the garment bag there.

But the FRA-SOF leg is served by A320-100/200 where there's no F, only C and no closets as far as found so far researching the plane layouts.

Do you think the FAs will find a place to hang the dress on the A320? This really bothers me.

Should I consider booking another seat for the dress? Is it even possible to book two seats under one name?

And last but not least, who do I talk (nicely) to about taking care of the garment bag? Any FA? Lead FA? Checking agent? Gate agent?

Your thoughts, experiences and help will be appreciated.

PS: Shipping the dress is out of the question, we do not even consider it.
