I would think with a 4 year-old you would be better downstairs in the 1-2-1. That being said, if you go upperdeck you would have relatively easy access to your child across the aisle - so I guess it depends on how comfortable you think your child will be sitting alone.
I think the likelihood of changes are pretty high at this point as they are working the schedule. That unfortuatnely also means your return may be changed back to an old version too.
I actually called Delta to ask them if they had any clue about my outbound flight being changed to the upgrades 747-400, and they said they knew nothing about these planes being upgraded yet. Huh??? Really? I said. I told the agent to go look at several days in April and in May that already show new seat maps. The agent put me on hold, came back 5 minutes later, stating "I just spoke with my supervisor and she indicated the same information. these 744's are not yet being upgraded." How is this possible? Are they that far behind in Delta that their own reps dont know whats going on?
Has anyone done the JFK-TLV, TLV-JFK route on the new 744's so that can clarify this problem.???
Also, where are the lavatories located on the UD?
