I was here a few weeks ago, as gold got a high floor with a floor to ceiling window with an incredible view of the city and the water. The check-in person i got said "platinum members love staying here because we have more suites than the st. francis and basically upgrade every plat member" which i thought was odd because i read quite a few people in this thread who were plat saying they didn't get an upgrade....maybe he just meant more upgrades than the st. francis...
FWIW, i stayed the night before at the palace and my room there was tiny, thought the place was kind of old....Actually liked this Westin more...
