Most if not all states will not allow immaterial errors to invalidate the ticket. I forget the legal terminology, but a judge isn't going to let the wrong day of week written on this ticket knock it out. For the typical traffic ticket, that means a misspelling of your name, address, or even a minor typo in your plate # aren't going to help you.
I did once get out of a parking ticket because the officer wrote 12am instead of 12pm on the ticket; I pointed out that I was legally parked at 12am since the restrictions didn't take effect until 9:00am... that was a material error on the ticket. I suppose had this necessitated going to court, the judge could have said, "But the officer wasn't on patrol at 12am," and the locality could have entered logs & records as evidence--but it didn't get that far.
