I've been on the Internet for long enough that unverifiable claims of "I'm suing and I have a lawyer" are rather trite, especially when that turns out to be the only time I hear of such things: no court proceedings or publicity outside of message board posts which oddly yield... nothing.
It would seem to me that publicity regarding such a suit as this would be rather easy to generate, given how many travel bloggers who are interested in aspects of frequent flyerdom, and the widespread availability of social media avenues. If one were trying to make US Airways change a policy, shouldn't spreading awareness of this policy, or "fraud" (your term) be your goal?
