Point one, when I can stay at a Doubletree or Hilton for $75 instead of $200+, I don't care. (I'm giving up a $20 breakfast and saving $125... if I want breakfast I pay for it.)

Point two, yes, in some circumstances. The Doubletree Bethesda, which I think just jumped to a Cat 6, gave me points, stay credit, breakfast chits, and pantry access... terrific. The Doubletree Silver Spring happily took my HH number and gave me stay credit and points for incidentals.

Some other places, zip. But as we are seeing, the value of points is shrinking all the time, so I care less and less. I estimate Priceline has saved me $2,000 off Hilton web rates since about March 15. That's enough to buy most of a week in NYC, rendering the points pretty much moot.
