The Dollar location is down the hill toward the Space Needle on Boren Ave., about a 10-minute walk. Just double-checking to see if it's still there, I saw a $9.58 weekend rate (~ $18 ai). Perhaps this might fit into your plans. Don't know what all comprises your entourage - but you could do as I often have - take the (nice) rapid transit in from the airport - which takes you to a block from the hotel - then rent the car - perhaps even daily. Or some mix. They've told me that picking up there and dropping at SEA incurs a drop charge. I haven't tested it.
