Flight affected by Iberia strike, compensation possible?

Have been on FT for a while but this is the first post. I received an email said my flight from Cairo to London Heathrow (Club World cabin booked on BA website) was rebooked due to Iberia strike, as a result of this change I would have to stay at Madrid airport for 16 hours before getting onto the connecting flight back to LHR. The new flight is scheduled to arrive in London at 21:05, since I live in Cardiff there is a very small chance that I can make it back to Cardiff on the same day, which means an overnight hotel stay would be required. My pre booked train ticket would also be invalid as a result of the change. I would be truly grateful if anyone can let me know if I would be able to claim all the spending back, including food costs at Madrid airport, hotel in London as well as the cost of the train ticket I pre booked. Thanks guys!
