Yes you can see availibility on KVS/UA/AC but cannot book them with either MP or DM.... so the problem is not from US but coming from the source : LH.
I was able to book the seats through UA without any problems - took less than 10 minutes. Called US 5x over a period of 4 days before I thought to try United - the seats never showed as available through US.
