Swanhunter is correct. Unless you are really looking to save money, the Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect are much better (quicker and more comfortable) options to this part of London.

From Paddington its an easy walk to the Hilton Metropole, either along Praed Street or along the Canal-side walkway (if you take the northern exit from Paddington Station).
