Not what I was thinking of. Laker was involved in the sale of the manufacturer's prototype VC-10 to Middle East Airlines, and it was on the UK register to him for 11 days, but was never operated by or painted up in Laker colours. I was thinking of an actual order placed.

Regarding the first Braniff BAC One-Elevens, they were delivered in the old livery, which pre-dated the multi-colour era. There don't seem to be many pictures around of them like this in the USA, but of course the BAC staff photographer got to shoot plenty of such pictures before delivery
