Both our cards are the no fee for life Premier cards. My latest statement show Membership fee for April 2012 to March 2013 0.
I strongly suspect his card also has the same bonus but since we can always put the spend on my card I did not bother to call to find out.
There is also a mysterious bonus on my statement that I couldn't figure out. I can figure out the prescription glass did get 1 extra point but there is a 3rd entry in my TYP account also is identified as bonus but I have no clue what it is for. There are 3 bonuses in total - the Quarterly extra 1 pt, the flight pt match, then this unknown one. It does not match the usual targeted offer such as a 20%, 50% or a stacked 20+50=70%.
Unfortunately now bonuses are excluded from matching flight points.
