Why are you concentrating on JAL? CX F is fantastic and there's often availability, though grabbing four seats at the same time (if at all) would be a stretch. Plus there are lots of US and Canadian cities it flies from (though not DFW, so you'd have to connect on AA) and it gets you all the way to Denpasar rather than having to transit through Jakarta. And while I like Indonesia and Indonesians a lot, I would not say stopping off in Jakarta is at all worthwhile.
