I confirm that a dry run a few minutes ago with a Suntrust business debit MasterCard number took me to a message telling me it was ineligible for debit card processing, but changing the card number to a Suntrust personal debit MasterCard took me to a dialog computing a charge of just $3.49 on a proposed $10k payment. Both of these experiments were done with invalid card numbers, reducing the chance that it is a matter of one card having a PIN associated with it and the other not. The first six digits of each card number, the "bank identification number", was:
Personal: 5536 94xx xxxx xxxx
Business: 5196 69xx xxxx xxxx
