Similar issue here...

Last two times RDU-ATL (2 months apart) relocated from exit row window to aisle seat. Both occasions explained by equipment swap (1st - GA, 2nd - Medallion desk), both times still on MD88. Could understand a MD90 > MD88 swap, but, same type?. Thought it was only 757 with the multiple configs.

In the grand scheme not a big deal for a hour flight and fortunate to have landed in aisle seat, and signifcantly further forward (24 to mid-teens) - just sayin'...

Conspiracy theorists...RDU GA shena?? Where's Robert Stack when you need him??

+1 on the notification front - wish DL could add some logic to the alert system...that is something I would want to know, not a dep/arr change of < 5 mins.
