Today going through DFW Terminal E, I selected the lane without the nudeoscope and as I passed through the metal detector I heard the dreaded buzzer. You know, the one - the "you have been randomly selected for a free patdown and personal abuse" buzzer.

However, this time they were not interested in my body!! They wanted only to swab my shoes which were on the belt. I was so disappointed but put this down to a new foot fetish permeating our beloved TSA!

What is this new waste of time and effort? The shoes are already scanned.
