As a result of all these things combined, the picture is getting clearer. Either the plan is to shrink this company down to PMCO size or Smi/J and his PMCO VP's, who chose the PMCO strategies for the new Company, have failed.
If it's the first, they are on track and at least they have a strategy.
If it's the second, if I were Smi/J and wanted to keep my job, I'd have every single one of them in the Conference Room asking them why they thought their initial strategy would work in the first place, which everyone knows it hasn't, and what their plan is to get it corrected Poste Haste.
I don't know which VP's should be involved in this, but I'd say those Depts cover- Marketing, Loyalty, PR/Communications and IT/Systems.
THEN, using this filename as the best and smallest example, have these VP's tell all of their direct reports and so on down the Org Chart, WE ARE UNITED AIRLINES and to think and act accordingly.
Again, it's very obvious using this filename as an example, Mid-Management staffers have not been communicated with, which is the same thing we as FT and mostly Elite customers are also complaining about. There seems to be a common thread.
What's the Plan? What's the Strategy? What's the Timeline? Who Owns It?
Business is very simple if the right people are in place.
