BAEC qualifying flight crediting to the wrong FFP

The background.

I am a QF platinum (OW emerald) who has recently moved to the UK and has also just been discovered the joys of the Amex Premier Plus Avios earning card. Hence the desire to switch over to BA for all my future earning needs.

I had booked a flight to Tunis before I joined BAEC so the booking was under my QFF number. At LGW check-in I asked for my QFF number to be taken out. Unfortunately Amex/BA hadn't completed the enrolment process for my BAEC number yet so I didn't have it, but I (naively) trusted in BA's systems and that if the number was taken out then the flight would credit nowhere. I got a new BP that didn't show my QFF number so (naively) thought that the number had been taken out.

You can guess where this is going - I just logged into my QF account to find a mileage credit there for my LGW-TUN flight. Now I know it is generally a pain in the proverbial to reverse out credit, and would involve all sorts of nasty discussions with QFF about taking it off. And I am truly not fussed about the mileage or the tier points. But I would like to get the credit for the qualifying flight, if only so that when I fly to DXB in June I will have the four qualifying flights needed to be silver, and thus to get the double Avios.

Has anyone had any experience in asking BA to just give credit for having taken a qualifying flight without giving the Avios/tier points? Any tales, woeful or otherwise, would be appreciated.

Thanks
