Delta bait and switch
I'm not a lawyer, but would be really interesting for someone who is to evaluate whether the repeated behavior of the award engine of advertising one price (in this case miles) and then repeatedly only offering higher prices/miles actually puts this in the category of illegal bait and switch.
The fact that this happens repeatedly and has gone on for years removes this from the category of minor glitch into something that is either by design or of gross negligence. Either way, would be nice to find a law firm that specializes in class action law suits cases to evaluate whether there are grounds for a law suit here. I'd be happy to be a lead complantent.
I find this so infuriating that it has caused me to start accumulating miles on airlines other than Delta.
