Are you sure about this? I've been told that I can't clear the 2nd segment of my "direct" flight because I didn't clear on the 1st one. Not that I can't clear in advance, but that I can't clear at all, even at the airport.

I didn't push the issue though, so I'm not sure if this was accurate.
