Any chance of clearing at the gate or will this be the same issue?

Grr...can't believe i didn't know this. And I can't believe a SAN-SFO segment not available at 6 AM on a Saturday morning in F is going to rob me of my SFO-HNL upgrade when it is R9 RN9!!!
