The fee is for the use of bell services. We did use them to bring the luggage down from the room but not any time at check in or otherwise during the stay. We also did tip each bell person 20 dollars (there were 4)
It doesn't come up anywhere in the t and c and the Plat line had no idea what it was until they called the hotel.
During the stay one of the front desk agents mentioned BRG as a "forced rate" which I thought was a little odd, so that tells me they were trying to make up for lost revenue. What I don't get, is why they'd have a 149 dollar starpick rate for the same time period, and complain about a BRG that was 30ish bucks higher per night.
