PS - Kerak Castle is en route to Petra, right?

We would visit Al-Karak either going to the Dead Sea region from Petra or coming back from the Dead Sea region from Petra?


Also, could you please explain your reasoning for suggesting that we stay at the Kempinski Ishtar for 2 nights before Petra/Wadi Musa and the Ma'In after, rather than the other way around?
They're both right nearby so I'm not sure how it'd effect our trip or itinerary any differently, but if it does impact our schedule, I'll gladly rearrange it. I'm just curious why you feel this way?
