Yes this is true! I only get upgraded inbound from Brasil maybe once or twice a year (and fly out of there over 10 times a year). Although, you'll like this, I did get upgraded from Business to First before Christmas which I was over the moon with until I was approached in the lounge by a member of staff who informed me that "there had been a mistake and we have to downgrade you back to business". What made it worse was that he did in in the middle of the lounge in front of all the other passengers and was probably the rudest BA staff member I have ever come across. Let's face it, BA Staff are brilliant, they are the main reason I fly with the airline and I have never had any of them speak to me the way this guy did.
