Without wishing to jinx myself, I have to say my experience with Lloyds seems to have been (largely) effortless so far. They ID-in-the-post thing is, of course, ridiculous in this day and age (at 60p a go for first class in the near future, they may change their ways, perhaps!), but in every other way it has worked a treat:
- cards arrived promptly
- they work every time
- cash payments by FP (through First Direct) are more or less instant, overcoming a ludicrous £2k limit
- Got my first statement today and base miles and bonus miles both sat there instantly looking all pretty and inviting.
However, this is not a post to be smug (though, secretly, I am a bit!) but there is a question I have: How do I move my Avios from the Avios account to my BAEC account? I can't see a transfer button anywhere. If this has been asked and answered a hundred times, I beg your forgiveness, but this thread is so massive I can't find it.
Also I didn't quite get all the miles I hoped for - I assume the £50 fee is excluded from points accrual?
Finally - a massive thank you to all you who have had such hideous experiences with Lloyds, you clearly paved the way for newbies like me to have a smooth run at it. So maybe you can take comfort from the knowledge that your pain has led to our joy....this alone is enough comfort for you, non?
Or, uh, maybe not
Persist, my friends, it is worth it in the end.
BTW - have they extended their offer yet? I want Mrs O to have a go. Ooh, im a poet, and didnt know it.
The O.
