I donīt use the IPhone app, in fact Iīll probably be the last person without an IPhone.
However, itīs a well-known fact the Fairmont IT system is crap. The website is terrible, so I wouldnīt be surprised if the apps and particularly the links between the apps and the back system donīt work great.
The good thing about Fairmont is that issues like yours usually get resolved pretty quickly when you provide proof youīre right.
