Had a similar problem recently. Was trying to use an e-cert on a booking, which, of course, can only be used on Delta.dumb. However, my preferred routes were only showing up on kayak - even though Kayak claimed those tickets were available on DL.com! Every time I clicked the "follow through to Dl.com" button, the flights would disappear!

Ended up calling Delta and the pleasant Caribbean lady fixed the problem for me! An hour of hassle, but worth the $400 discount, I suppose...

I checked Orbitz and... BAMM... routes and fares galore! Yes, on Delta.

I went back to delta.dumb and played around with the advanced search function. Tried to build my own segments. didn't work. Tried T and higher; U and higher; L and higher, etc. Found the routings from Orbitz, but they were 20 bucks more. Called DL, agent found routing and fare from Orbitz, and booked ticket -- fee waived because of status.

FOCUS Delta. F-O-C-U-S.

Fix your damn booking engine. How much money are you losing because people are not finding routing/fare combinations that work for them?

Make it EASY for people to give you money.

WHY are you letting your booking engine stand between you and the people trying to give YOU money?

Mr Anderson, while you're sitting at C E Woolman's desk every day dreaming up more fees vs fixing base operations, think about your wife who's out there spending your money. Would she continue to shop at Neiman Marcus if they could not find a price for all those cute little outfits she wants? Of course not. She'd head across the street to Saks. Think about it, Dick.
