It does sound like the agent stuck you in tango in either case, if it was the same day, then it can be fixed. If you changed to another date and you did ''buy'' a tango fare (agents fault or not) you cannot do anything about it. Always confirm your class!!
Thanks for all the input here, I was supposed to fly out on Wednesday and instead home on Tuesday( did not buy a new ticket) simply paid a change fee to go home a day earlier ($75) .
So I do think that would constitute a "Buy" a Tango fare, I assume AC will figure it out based on my "booking reference #"
