Normally I get Euros from my bank or through my office. But I was passing by a Travelex kiosk today in a Mall and made some inquiries. Their Dollar to Euro program seemed to be a decent deal, and with little hassle.
I was also particularly interested in their chip & pin debit card with a MasterCard logo, this can be quite useful in Europe both in gas stations and on toll highways, where US swipe-only cards do not work.

Cannot help you with the chip and pin debit card, but sometimes for foreign currency they can be competitive. The key question is whether or not they charge a transaction fee on top of the currency exchange.
I have sometimes obtained better deals than standard banks charge here--I think sometimes it is just the fact they do not adjust their rates as fast as they should. Got some great deals on $Canadian to Japanese yen that could not be matched anywhere else at the time plus I can get the money on the spot (I phone first to make sure they have it)
