I have to admit, as much as I've "wanted" an iPhone on TMo, I never thought about the loss of such a plan if I switch to an Iphone on Tmo.
Will they offer a similar email only plan with caveats/warnings out the bum to turn off apps that go to the web (via the international cell data network) and stay away from web apps, web surfing, etc. I sure hope so.
Excellent point. The $19 (or thereabout) international BBerry Plan that you can pro-rate is golden to those of us that want a reliable and inexpensive way to use our phones for data (sans web) internationally. I would doubt you are going to find anything like this on an iPhone data plan. It's going to be all or nothing, at a very high cost.
When I combine this International BBerry Plan with my UMA WiFi Calling at $10 a month unlimited, I have a mobile device that works internationally for unlimited calls and emails with text and BBM for about a dollar a day. Incredible.
So now my only question is... Will RIM survive?
