When I search by price, and after I select my first flight, I'm commonly offered only 1 to 3 return flight options. When I search by schedule, then 40 to 50 appear. In many cases, when I search by schedule and pick the flights I want, the price is the same or even sometimes cheaper than the return options given to me when searching by price.

There's clearly no rationale from a consumer perspective for Delta.com's poor search-by-price output. And I can't think there's much of a Delta benefit either, as the few options shown with often times higher prices can drive potential purchasers away.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for the new formatting changes to be modified, so that we can see connection cities without having to click for more details. Will that ever happen?
