Do sit on the port side to ensure you receive a larger seat.
CE priority bus is worth its weight in gold; obvioulsy combined with IRIS if arriving into T3 after 4pm, to ensure speedy arrival.
Oh and hot towels are lovely in the summer as boarding can be such a scrum, you often need to freshen up.
The only thing missing is a little sign to hang on the dividing curtain stating ECONOMY PASSENGER LAVATORIES ARE IN THE REAR. Oh and another sign on the overhead compartments in row 1; NOT FOR CREW USE.
CE is really improving.
+1
I was about to post that nobody had posted about the time of day, well it got to page 4 at least.
If you are travelling at a meal time (rather than the 'extended breakfast' or 'afternoon tea' farce), then CE can be extremely valuable, especially if you are flying from an outstation with poor lounge offerings.
I'd say this only really applies to routes over 1h30m though, otherwise it's only worth it if you need the TPs.
The priority bus at T3 is also a massive plus though. (Though I think all Euro flights from T3 are over 1h30 anyway?)
