Sorry to hear about your issues, Sharon. It's really a problem with companies that want you to provide credit card info, yet provide no support when there are issues.

I'm also cautious about Paypal and eBay (co-owned) for similar reasons. There are many, many stories about problems with Paypal and folks unable to reach a real human to deal with the company. Some are fraud, some are chargebacks when the seller did not provide merchandise as requested.
I have one or two low-limit credit cards that I provide to online vendors that require same.... I avoid storing wherever possible. In today's environment, one must be prudently cautious. Way too many data breaches & hacks.
