wait... i see a AA-CX ticket that gets OP to KUL, and a (seperate) ticket to LKW.
OP somehow rerouted partly to B6, and from then on parted with luggage till he gets to LKW.
probably deal is CX taking luggage to OP's LKW hotel.
OP's lugggage is found broken at hotel, and OP probably wasnt the one signing off the recipient.
If seperate AA/CX and AK ticket, look for CX and be insistant that you reported at first sight. the hotel wouldnt know the state of your luggage (telling AA wont help since its not last carrier)
all fails, name and shame CX on their favourite HK newspaper... Apple Daily and SCMP comments section would be more than happy to take your news (AD would be more favourable but its in english so SCMP might work just as well)
