I'm just curious to see if anyone every received any special gift (bottle of wine, maybe?) by telling the hotel that it's his/her birthday or honeymoon or anniversary. I'm going to Europe with the wife during our anniversary this summer. Just wonder if it's worth the trouble to mention it in the reservation.
